Last year i learnt so much but i never gave myself time to reflect. By this i mean i made loads of mistakes, tried new skills and experimented with subject matter but i never sat back and thought about my mistakes or how i would like to progress.
For the month of December though i stopped. I turned down projects and commissions ( sorry to to those i turned down it was hard saying no!) I studied other photographers i admired, i edited my own work with fresh eyes and i wrote down all the ideas i had for the future. So i have set myself some new rules for 2020:
1.) I will only photograph for myself,. This means that even if it only gets 10 likes on social media i know i loved taking the photograph and i "like" it!
2.) I will only photograph in the wild.
3.) I will make only 1 photo a month available for a limited time to buy as a print and after that time the photograph will never be printed again.
4.) I will take on no commissions in 2020
5.) I will enter 2 competitions and take a risk by entering high profile competitions.
And i promise myself to always "LOVE" what i do and share that love with others through my images.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
